Media.
20 years back, that is in 1985, in India a magazine was born
and was christened “FILMCITY”. It presented Bollywood
happenings in the most Entertaining Fashion in India’s
National Language – Hindi.
The USP of FILMCITY:
1. Size - Tabloid
2. Frequency – Weekly
3. The latest, in depth and fast coverage of news, gossips,
scoops, interviews, controversies,
etc.
4. Exclusive photographs of film stars.
With these USP aiding, FILMCITY soon established its own Niche
Identity and left its competitors far behind in the race.
There was no looking back for FILMCITY in these 20 years.
It reached the circulation of 2,00,000 copies per issue. This
was made possible with the help of the strong distribution
network consisting of over 200 newspaper agents and about
300 Railway Book Stalls throughout India.
During its Glorious 20 years, FILMCITY
shared very cordial relations with entire Bollywood fraternity
including:
1. Film stars
2. Music Companies
3. Directors
4. Producers and many more.
This was even more evident at the FILMCITY’s party which
was organized at a 5 star hotel to celebrate its success.
The Guest of Honour was the megastar
Mr.Amitabh Bachchan alongwith wife Mrs.Jaya and the
turnout of the film personalities had to be seen to be believed.
